About Us
Sonia Baez Hernandez is an interdisciplinary artist and educator. Her artistic practices integrate disciplinary knowledge from several fields (e.g. performance, drawings poetry, music, science , curatorial projects..). Her projects explore themes impacting humanity or our planet exploring health disparities, in cancer, pandemic, with interrogation about the culture of illness, corporality, gender in multidisciplinary performances, installation arts, and the documentary Territories of the Breast.
On 2017 Baez Hernandez started to collaborate installation with with youths Black and Brown communities. In 2019 she began a series of research on adaptations that allow her to design projects addressing issues of heat stroke employing a multi disciplinary vision.
